Sigil[1] is a massive floating city at the center of the Great Wheel in Planescape. It is an impenetrable metropolis floating above a great spire, said to be older than even the gods of myth. It is ruled by the inscrutable Lady of Pain. It is also known as the Cage and the City of Doors.
