Settings
From Marillia
This is a list of settings and worlds.
The "big four" D&D settings are the Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk, Eberron, and Dragonlance.
List
- Marillia. YOU ARE HERE.
- Terra. Okay, you are also here.
- Greyhawk. The main planet of interest is Oerth. The OG setting, the one crafted by Gary Gygax himself. Served as the default setting for 1e, 2e, and 3e.
- Nentir Vale, aka Points of Light and Nerath. The default setting of 4e. This one is very weird and controversial. It replaced the Great Wheel with the World Axis. It also has Asmodeus straight-up win the Blood War. It introduced the Dawn War. Personally, I actually really dig this setting, but I'm in the minority here.
- The Forgotten Realms, where the main planet of interest is Toril. The FR is the de facto default setting of 5e D&D. It was made by Ed Greenwood way back in the day.
- Mystara.
- Blackmoor, the first D&D setting, made by Dave Arneson.
- Dragonlance, where the main planet of interest is Krynn.
- Spelljammer. D&D in space.
- Planescape.
- Birthright.
- Eberron.
- Dark Sun, where the main planet of interest is the Burnt World of Athas.
- Ravnica. From MTG. It's a planet composed of one giant city. It's pretty dope.
- Theros. From MTG originally.
- Exandria. Matt Mercer's setting. It's an official setting now!
- Orden. Matt Colville's setting.
- Aerois. Mark "Sherlock" Hulmes's setting.
- Verum. Arcadum's setting.
- Pathfinder,[1] where the main planet of interest is Golarion (there's also Androffa).
Endnotes
- ↑ "Pathfinder" is not only the name of the game but also the game's setting
