Khala is an ancient goddess of the Nentir Vale who was the original goddess of winter. She is believed to have sparked a massive war among the gods known as the War of Winter in an attempt to seize control over the Upper Planes. She was then killed by the Raven Queen.
Khala is the wife of Zehir. According to some legends, she is the mother of Kord, Tuern, and none other than Bane himself.
Status
Her current whereabouts are unknown. Some speculate she may be imprisoned in Carceri (perhaps in Agathys), or was banished to the Abyss. She's certainly considered a dead power—though, of course, what "dead" means in the context of gods is shaky.
Hopefully Bane and Kord call every once in a while.
