Jinn,[1] also romanized as genies or anglicized as djinn, are powerful spirits with a wide variety of abilities.
The jinn of Marillia and the genies of D&D and Pathfinder differ in several ways, the most important being that in Marillia, jinn are not elementals, but rather fey. Many jinn do dwell in the Elemental Planes and have been infused by elemental energies, but they are not of the Elemental Planes.
Alignment
Jinn are capable of every alignment.
Sang (earth jinn) lean towards Neutral Evil. Tish (fire jinn) lean Lawful Evil. Asifas (air jinn) lean Chaotic Good. Chantis (water jinn) lean Chaotic Neutral. Zalas (black jinn) are always Chaotic Evil.

Noble jinn

The "higher-ups" of the jinn are called noble jinn. These are the lords of the jinn. They're roughly the jinn analogue to the paragons and archfiends.

- Azenhar: The Windlord of Jalidia. Lord of the air jinn.
- Kabril: King of Azika. Lord of the earth jinn.
- Kazali: A terrible jinn lord who terrorized Teresis millennia ago before he was imprisoned by a human magician named Sokurna
- Marjaid: Once a terrible warlord who, like Kazali, terrorized Moray many thousands of years ago. He fought many wars against Kazali, killing millions in the process. He has since retired to the City of Brass.
- Markorov: A great sage among the jinn. An Ingzari. Dwells in Mirage.
- Rashid: A jinn lord of the City of Brass
- The Sun King: The ruler of the City of Brass, worshiped as a god by his people. One of the mightiest jinn ever to exist. Lord of the fire jinn.

Civilization

Religion
Jinn religion is as varied and diverse as human religion. Here is a list of some of the religions and objects of worship among the jinn.
- Asmodeus: Some jinn indeed worship Asmodeus. The jinn tend to call him Ashema-daeva or Sakhr. They believe he is a jinn who ascended to godhood.
- Cryonax: An evil elemental prince of ice.
- Imix: An evil elemental prince of fire.
- Ingzar: An ancient monotheistic tradition.
- Lucianus. Yes, many jinn are Lucians. They call Lucia "Yeshina."
- Mazdana: Some jinn are Mazdanists.
- Parsha
- Saphorism: Some jinn worship the Saphorist gods, such as Ra and Vaisha.
- Sun King: In the City of Brass and the territories under its control, the state religion is the cult of the Sun King.
- Yan-C-Bin: Some jinn worship Yan-C-Bin, an evil elemental prince of air.
- Zehir: Some jinn worship Zehir/Casir/Set.
