Ramal Shirka (Phoenic: رمال شركة Ramāl Shurkah) is a retired senior Phoenic military officer who fought in the Eighth Occaria. He became infamous for the September Coup in 492, in which he attempted to overthrow King Jassar Ymladi and seize power; his coup failed and triggered all-out civil war. Most of his forces were on the run by the winter of 493, and he himself was arrested in 494. He was thought to be executed, but in truth, he was imprisoned in a secret vault in the Jardin branch of Oikono Bank. In the autumn of 494, he was freed by the Pale Brigade.
