The Eighth Occaria (oh-KAR-ee-uh) was a massive intercontinental war fought from 485–494 between the Alicantian Empire and a coalition of opposition powers, including (but not limited to) Riyan, Phoena, Vallyra, and Liore. With over two million soldiers mobilized at its peak, the war was one of the largest in the history of man. Although the exact death toll is unknown, it is estimated to be between 4 million and 8 million, most of them civilians in Phoena and Riyan.
