Inevitable
Inevitables, also known as the IRS, the fuzz, the alphabet boys, the Time Cops, the jannies, the RA, the ATF, the DEA, and the Interdimensional Police Department (IDPD), are living machines from Axiom who were constructed to enforce law in the multiverse. They are the direct agents of the Supreme Intelligence.
Inevitables are purely Lawful machine-angels who are uninterested in questions of good and evil, seeking only to establish and maintain order at absolutely any cost. They see themselves as the stewards of the cosmos.
Inevitables are some of the toughest guys an adventurer could butt heads with. Inevitables regularly go around arresting people who've cracked the code to immortality (such as liches) and time travel, which they view as violations of cosmic law. Some inevitables are literally designed to take down rogue gods.
