In many D&D settings, Pelor ("PAY-lor") is a Neutral Good god of the sun, harvest, agriculture, and summer, as well as a keeper of time.

Realm

Pelor is believed by some to dwell in Elysium, while others claim he dwells in Hestavar with Erathis.

Relationships

Pelor opposes all Evil deities and even many Neutral ones. He considers Tharizdun and Nerull two of his greatest foes. He is allied to Heironeous and is one of Pholtus's few allies. He's also a member of the Good Will, making him an ally of Corellon Larethian, Moradin, Yondalla, and Garlan. His strongest allies (in Greyhawk) are Mayaheine and Saint Bane. He also counts among his allies Saint Cuthbert, the dragon goddess Tamara, Trithereon, and Zodal.

In the Nentir Vale, Pelor is said to be married to Erathis.

The Raven Queen has been described as Pelor's antithesis, though I don't know if that indicates they're enemies.

Mandate

Edicts[1]:

  • Alleviate suffering wherever you find it.
  • Bring Pelor’s light into places of darkness, showing kindness, mercy, and compassion.
  • Be watchful against evil.
