Avant is a world of savage beauty and haughty decadence, far beyond the material. It is a realm of extremes: tranquility and turbulence, love and hate, peace and immense violence. Among the elves, it is called Arvandor. It is described in the World Axis (under the name "Arvandor") as an astral dominion. In the Great Wheel, it considered the Chaotic Good Outer Plane, and is known as the Olympian Glades of Arborea, or simply Olympus or Arborea. In the Great Beyond, it is considered as the Chaotic Good plane of the Outer Sphere, and is called Elysium (not to be confused with the Neutral Good plane in the Great Wheel).
