People of Teresis

From Marillia

The people of Teresis are made up of humans most prominently but also many other groups of sapient peoples.

Notes

Visit D&D Beyond's page on character races to get an overview of the official racial options available to you. Take note, however, that not all of the races listed there exist in Teresis.

Key

You'll find the various races listed out in this format:

  • [*] Mole people
  • [*] Furries
  • [*] Catgirls

where * is one of the following:

  • x - Not playable. They might not exist in Teresis or are extremely rare.
  • o - They do exist in Teresis. Go for it.
  • ? - Unclear or unknown.

I've also done you a favor and emboldened those with an o and used a strikethrough on those with an x.

Anthropocentrism and human supremacy

Marillia (and by extension Teresis), like many other settings, is anthropocentric. There are many countries -- e.g., Alicante, Vallyra, etc. -- where human supremacy is rampant. Just keep this in mind when creating your character. In some places, nonhumans are literally rounded up and killed in droves. When in doubt, ask me about it.

Recommendations

If you want my personal recommendations, I think planetouched -- e.g., tieflings, aasimar, genasi, etc. -- are always great choices, as are dragonborn, gith, and dhampirs.

These are homebrewed races who are native to Teresis.
