Dream magic is a mystical art by which practitioners can journey through the world of dreams, control their dreams, share dreams, divine through dreams, and even control the dreams of others. The principal practitioners of dream magic in Marillia are the Somnians.

The most potent, dangerous, and immoral form of dream magic is dreamwalking, by which a dream magician can observe the dreams of others, enter those dreams, and even manipulate those dreams. Dreamwalking is forbidden in virtually every Somnian circle and is banned by the Saparo Forta.

According to the bink Koley, the most powerful dream magician (and dreamwalker) in Marillia was Aveserro—until his student Sorhan murdered him in a dream. Now Sorhan holds that title.
