Shadowrot

Shadowrot is a magical miasmic curse that "infects" both living and nonliving matter. It manifests as a purplish blue haze. Shadowrot seems to have been first introduced to Marillia, or at least Seuvia, by the witch Wyrzag.

The adventurer Shray, when he confronted Wyrzag, had his left eye cursed by shadowrot. Only by being healed by an Ayan high priest was the spread of the "infection" stopped.

Sorhan has taken a liking to shadowrot and has begun using it in the Seuvian theater of the Red Terror.
