Dragonborn
Dragonborn are draconic humanoids.
The dragonborn of Marillia differ greatly from the dragonborn of other settings. The dragonborn of Marillia are not a slave race bred by dragons, nor are they lesser draconids born alongside dragons. Rather, they are human beings who have undergone rituals in the effort to become dragons. The dragonborn is the intermediate stage in the metamorphosis of man to dragon.
This has significant ramifications. For one thing, the dragonborn of Marillia are not a species or a subspecies. Dragonborn are not born, but made.[1] Second, dragonborn almost always worship dragons and the dragon gods. Those who become dragonborn are typically members of a dragon-worshiping cult.[2]
