The Saphora (SAFF-oh-ruh) is the priestly college governing the state religion of Phoena. It is the "state church" of Phoena.
The principal deities of the Saphora are Ra, god of the sun, and Mishra, god of kingship, rebirth, and war. The high priest of the Saphora is the king of Phoena himself, who is understood to be a reincarnation of Mishra.
The word Saphora is the origin of the Lucian-Alicantian term Saphorism.
