She mated with the dark abyss itself to produce a horde of demon spawn. It took the might of all her children put together to end her. In the end, it was her son Shahra who carved her into pieces. |

In Phoenic mythology, when Ra first found the earth, there was no land, only never-ending primordial sea, and beneath its waves lay slumbering Nyssa. When Ra raised land to populate it with his creations, Nyssa awoke from her slumber in terrible anger. To quell her wrath, Ra wed her to his son Ebzu.
