Material planes are worlds where mortals are born, live, and die. Such worlds tend to have fixed physical properties (i.e. laws of physics).[1]
There is debate among scholars about whether there is a single material plane, which they call the Prime Material Plane, or many material planes existing independently.
Known material planes
There might be significant overlap between these planes; e.g., it may be that the material plane in which Greyhawk is located is the same material plane in which the Forgotten Realms is located.
- Marillia
- The material plane in which Greyhawk is located
- The material plane in which the Forgotten Realms is located
- Ravnica
Notes
- ↑ Unlike Outer Planes, where things like space and gravity can be very weird, such as being subject to the will of a particular person.
