In D&D, demons are a race of Chaotic Evil fiends who hail from the Abyss.
Demons are not to be confused with devils. They are nothing alike. Whereas devils follow rules and here to power structures, demons follow nothing but their own appetites, whims, and desires. They are cruel and malevolent guided by nothing but wrath, lust, and gluttony.
