An arcanist is a person educated in the arcane sciences and trained in its practical applications. In meta terms, arcanists are wizards.
Arcanists wield no powers innately. Rather, they learn to wield arcana through deep study and training. In theory, anyone can become an arcanist with the right amount of education.
