Cambion is a loose term with a variety of meanings. One common definition is a half-mortal, half-fiend; however, other usages of the term exist.
Because they can freely travel between the Lower Planes and Marillia, they are highly prized by archfiends.
Most cambions are the result of the union between men and succubi, for obvious reasons.
Meta
In D&D 5e 2014, a cambion was defined as a "the offspring of a fiend (usually a succubus or incubus) and a humanoid (usually a human)."[1] However, in D&D 5e 2024, they were redefined as "former mortals corrupted by fiendish power or possessed by insidious forces."[2]
Known cambions
- Tomar, supreme commander of Lady Hyetta's forces in Seuvia.
- Zaelan, supreme commander of Azaphiel's forces in Seuvia.
Alignment
Cambions tend to be raised in the negative planes, and as such tend to be evil. Furthermore, their dual nature lends them towards Chaos.
