Traditionally, the namens are said to consist of Ra and his progeny, including Ebzu, Shahra the stormfather, Sonya, Quethe, Casir, Vaisha, Ossur, Mishra, etc. Excluded among their ranks are Nyssa, Ra's father Ku, the black gods, Tharosh, the abyssal serpent Abakesh, ascended gods such as Kilva, etc.
According to Glory, the namens, the Irians, and the Valens are one and the same.
