Dispater (I say dis-PAY-tur) is an archdevil, one of the Lords of the Nine, and the lord of Dis, the second layer of the Nine Hells.
Dispater is a highly enigmatic figure said to never leave his Iron Tower, with some suggesting he does not even exist and is rather a concoction of the brilliant Titivilus. Others say he is very real and among the original supporters of Asmodeus. Whatever the case, he is rarely, if ever, seen.
