Asuras are entities described in Hinduism and Buddhism as a class of godlike beings who are in constant war with devas. Hindu texts differentiate between good and evil asuras, with adityas being good and danavas being evil. They're sometimes described as titans, demigods, or antigods. They are also sometimes equated with rakshasas.
