Greymark is a minor Phoenic nobleman and the Lord of Hasheem in Kashana. He is nouveau riche: he gained a vast amount of wealth very mysteriously sometime in the past few decades. He bought his way into the aristocracy. He doesn't even have a surname.
Description
Greymark is a man in his forties of above-average height (a little over 6'), with salt-and-pepper hair and beard, both of which he keeps short and well-trimmed. He's good looking.
Greymark is an extraordinarily powerful mage.
Life
Greymark was born in 451 in a village in southern Phoena. He has a noticeable southern Phoenic accent. He was unfortunately a victim of the Black Terror; when he was young, his entire village was slaughtered by Casirists led by Mortzopholus. Greymark has sought ever since then to find Mortzopholus and kill him.
When he was 12, Greymark studied for six years under Scarcella, the "Madman of the Woods": a powerful and aloof sorcerer.
Greymark has been around. Among the souvenirs he has in his manor are a katana from God-knows-where, and the robe of a Red Wizard of Thay.
At the harvest banquet in Lozanre in 494, Greymark recognized the Pale Brigade, and claimed to be on the same mission as them. He appeared willing to cooperate with them. He now seems to be one of the Pale Brigade's strongest allies.
Relationships
Greymark has connections to the Burja, though he's burned some of those bridges thanks to his association with the Pale Brigade.
Greymark has connections to at least two infamous pirate lords: Jamit Angari and Colette.
