These are some House Rules.

Inspiration

Three changes to inspiration:

  • Inspiration can stack.
  • Inspiration can be used after a roll to roll an additional d20, but must be done before the outcome is revealed. You must use the second roll.
  • All of your inspiration (minimum: 1) can be burned to avoid death. You can do this after a failed death saving throw. You stop dying and stabilize with 1 HP.

Diagonals

I like the Pathfinder diagonal rules.

Diagonals: When measuring distance, the first diagonal counts as 1 square, the second counts as 2 squares, the third counts as 1, the fourth as 2, and so on. You can’t move diagonally past a corner (even by taking a 5-foot step). You can move diagonally past a creature, even an opponent. You can also move diagonally past other impassable obstacles, such as pits.

Healing potions

Consuming a healing potion (or pouring it into another character's mouth) costs a bonus action, not a main action.

Spellcasting twice per turn

Normally, if you cast a spell as a bonus action, you can't cast a spell as your main action on the same turn unless it's a cantrip. However, my house rule is that you actually can cast two spells on the same turn, so long as one of them is 2nd-level or lower. In addition, if you're a sorcerer, you bypass that "2nd-level or lower" limitation, allowing you to cast two spells on the same turn regardless of their level.
