Occarias
Casualties
At least tens of millions

This page is about the major occarias. For the Lucian concept of holy war, see occaria.

The Occarias were a series of Lucian religious wars waged primarily by the Alicantian Empire and sanctioned by the Sanctuary. There have been eight major occarias so far, fought all across the Aenea to spread the Lucianus, enforce the Sanctuary's hegemony, suppress paganism, combat heresy, purge nonhumans, and secure the human world from monsters.

The Occarias were some of the bloodiest wars in the history of mankind. Entire nations have been wiped off the face of the earth. Coalition after coalition of both human and nonhuman powers have been crushed against Alicante's armies. Untold millions have been killed on the battlefield, starved to death, died of disease, been worked to death, or been killed in concentration camps, all as a direct result of Alicantian policy.

Death toll

The Occarias have extracted a very heavy toll. Alicante has killed tens of millions at least,[1] when including deaths from disease and starvation as a direct result of their actions. Alicante has engineered manmade famines, expelled hundreds of thousands from their native lands, and abducted countless people to be worked them to death in labor camps.
