Nodens is quite the oddity in the Cthulhu Mythos, being a surprisingly chill guy. He's been described as "somewhat benevolent," which (a) is quite the lukewarm praise, but (b) makes him better than almost every other god in the Mythos. Importantly, Nodens opposes Nyarlathotep, and seems to have some connection to the Dreamlands. He seems to be in command of the night-gaunts.
