Because of the COB's economic strength and military might, it serves as a sort of neutral zone—a Switzerland, if you will—for many cosmic powers, such as devils and celestials. Few can challenge the might of the Sun King, and so the city is a great location to sign treaties and settle interplanar disputes. It's much like [[Axiom]] or [[Sigil]] in that aspect.

The fabled City of Brass, also known by many other names, such as the City of Wonders and Alloy, is a legendary city from myth and folklore, said to be inhabited by jinn. It is ruled by the equally legendary Sun King. In the World Axis, the COB is believed to be an elemental realm, while in the Great Wheel, it's believed to exist on the Elemental Plane of Fire.
