Not to be confused with exarch.

An exalt ("EGG-zalt") or exalted is a person who has been elevated and empowered in the afterlife by a god. They are powerful and favored servants of whichever god has "sponsored" them.

Exalts are not to be confused with exarchs, who are demigod servitors of a more powerful deity; or chosen, who are empowered by a god in life.
