Solons ("SOH-lahnz") are a race of Lawful Good celestials who dwell in Celestia. They pride themselves as being arbiters of justice and righteousness in the cosmos.

In D&D and Pathfinder, solons are called archons.
Compared to aasimon
Solons are often mistaken for aasimon. It's an easy mistake to make. The difference is thus: solons are a race hailing from Celestia, while aasimon is an office. Solons are a people—the aasimon are an order of elite soldiers of the Upper Planes.
