Campaign Synopsis (Sessions 1-3 (?))
Here's a synopsis for the campaign thus far (as of 28 January 2022).
The background for the campaign is as follows. Noh Boogies, Gold Jeffblum, and Hopscotch are all members of Dolce, a multinational guild, and have formed a party to journey on a secret mission for the guild. The goal is to find a girl named Kay. The party has very little to go off of. All they know (more or less), is that she went missing in Cordova not too long ago. They also have a portrait of her. And that's about it. They spend weeks in Cordova without any leads, until one day when they witness a child get kidnapped right before their very eyes. They end up suspecting a local government official. Investigating him leads them to suspect two noblemen named Eoin and Willem Hall.
The Halls head out the next day to Gascont. The party follows, but their ship is obliterated in a storm just one day away from the city. They wash up on the shores of Liore, which is currently under martial law. The party makes a deal with Surreau, a multinational crime syndicate, to get smuggled out of the city—they just have to steal an artifact from the Lahren during a peace banquet that's happening soon.
This is where the actual gameplay begins. It's August 9th, 494. The party succeeds in stealing the artifact (only later finding out that Oracle Ina Sukarian was assassinated at that very same banquet) but then betrays Surreau and is nearly killed. They're then abducted by a mysterious group, who smuggle them northeastward, out of Liore and into Alicantian-controlled Imray.
The party is freed when a pack of wolf-men slaughter the kidnappers. The wolf-men seem to be looking for a girl, for whatever reason. They pay zero attention to the party, who make their escape with a few other prisoners, one being Charles Bellanger.
The party makes it out of the Alicantian-occupied zone and into Cormatag. They make it all the way to the affluent port city of Vos Dainos, where they're thrown into prison, and then make a deal with Lord Hemm in exchange for their freedom. They just have to put down a riot that's going to be orchestrated tomorrow. The party does so, and then leaves the city on the flagship of Carbuncle, Charlie's old mentor.
