Challenge Rating

Challenge Rating is a score in the official D&D and PF1 rulebooks given to monsters. Its meaning is simple: a monster's CR is roughly what level a 4- or 5-man party needs to be at to be able to defeat it.
That means ALL the members. For example, your average nalfeshnee runs at a CR of 13. That means your party had better have four or five heroes who are all at least 13th-level, or this nalfeshnee is going to gut all of you and eat you for dinner.
