Ancient Brethren

The Ancient Brethren is an alleged group of elder entities of unfathomable age who predate the multiverse. We don't know who is included in their ranks. Several notable sages have speculated on some possible members, who include:
- Ahriman
- Ao
- Asgorath
- Asmodeus
- Io
- Jazirian
- The Lady of Pain
- Ouroboros
- The Serpent, aka Mok'slyk
- Tharizdun, the Chained God
- The World Serpent
We don't know why these entities are grouped together—as in, we don't know whether they really are some kind of fraternity, or if the only thing they have in common is their age.
Keep in mind, also, that many sages believe that some of these entities are really the same. For example, some believe Ouroboros and the World Serpent to be one and the same. Some also claim that Mok'slyk is a guise of Asmodeus.
